1/48 scale Kinetic F/A-18 +/B/CF-188

Post by BlackSheep214 »

With the Pak40 artillery gun sidelined and the F-16/P-51 dual build on hold, i decided to jump on this one.

I will building this using aftermarket decals of the colorful Australian "Worimi Hornet"

Thanks for the heads up. It’s slow going due to high parts count.

Made some progress in these last couple weeks or so.

Assembled most of my weapons & pods from this kit and other Kinetic Viper kits. They're all sorted and placed in my storage bins.

Wing halves installed and holes drilled out for pylons.

Brake glued in closed position

Nose halves assembled.

Mike... I dont think I will have issues with connecting it to main fuselage. It has guide holes to insert it to.

Bang seat and office assembled and ready for paint

I will be arming this Worimi Hornet not in typical loadout. This one will be something unique that only an F/A-18 Hornet is capable in doing... Double Ugly.

No other modern aircraft can do the Double Ugly loadout - not even the F-16 Vipers or F-15 Eagles.

It'll be when you attach the nose to the fuselage. And the front windscreen doesn't quite fit right either.
