So an idea I've been thinking of is a "That's not my side" or a "That's not my plane" GB.
Take a famous pilot or ace (or tank if thats your persuasion). Take the markings from their vehicle. Put them on either the equivalent vehicle on the opposing side or their greatest adversaries vehicle etc.
Example. Erich Hartmanns 109 g6 markings on a spitfire mk.ix.
Or Gabreskis p-47 markings on a fw.190.
Or for tye land based people Sherman markings on a panther (i don't know tanks?)
Any era, any genre?
Just an idea I've been thinking on and thought I'd get so.e input.

That's not my side GB?
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
Re: That's not my side GB?
That is an interesting thought. There are many photos of Allied equipment in Axis markings after capture and visa versa. But, doing so with a particular identity in mind would be a bit different.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: That's not my side GB?
That's certainly interesting! Not sure group builds have a bright future in this shrinking audience though
I'm guilty. I was jazzed about the 10 year SPA GB but never ended up starting a kit for it

It's a great idea but as Chris said, GB's tend to be a bit of a non-event here.
What we do is more like a shared build these days, e.g. 'I'm building something, anyone else fancy tagging along'. Certainly that's how the P-40 GB is going, I was going to build one anyway, anyone else who fancied joining in is welcome.
