Thanks, and yes, the stickers would have brought the whole build down.

Three days ago, I sprayed the Razor Crest with black enamel (Revell). It should be sufficiently cured by now for the Alclad II finish. I still had to mask the windows, but using the stickers as a template made that job easy.
The Alclad Duraluminum sprayed on nicely. The metallic effect is good, though not quite as "mind-blowing" as I’d expected based on some of the reviews I’ve seen. Now I need to apply a coat of Future, otherwise the Alclad will be damaged by the wash.

That looks great, Remco! I have to add that my favorite silvers are Mr. Color's versions—shine shiver and what I think is an aircraft color but brighter than Tamiya's version. I use shine silver a lot when building spacecraft, but I did use it here as a base coat:

I have used mr Color super metallics on my Megatron build and like this very much.

Now that the paint is dry and the masks removed I am more impressed by Alclad 2. It really catches the light like metal. I made some different pictures of the same parts to show this.

I’ve been waiting for Mr. Color Super Metallics to restock in the states. Nobody has them anywhere. :headbang:

No one has any Mr Color products. I mean everything. I'm starting to get worried as I'm going to need Mr Surfacer and GX100 Super Gloss before too long.

I have no idea. We're still getting Tamiya, Academy and others so I don't think that's it.
