What type of files can you get aside from armor stuff? The reason I’m asking is I’m interested in someone making a mount for the X-15 Rocket for the 1/72 scale B-52 bomber. I’m curious since one company (Buff Master) is no longer in business used to make them. I know there are vacu-form conversion for them but not interested in vacu-form products.
I am willing to pay for the cost of a conversion kit for the B-52 mount for the X-15 rocket.

Re: A question to those that have a 3D printer
Tom, I am barely starting to scratch the surface as to what’s available in files, but I do know that it is a massive amount of stuff out there. Do a google search for the item and scale of 3D print files or STL files. Example “1/72 x-15 3d print files”. Just be aware that some files are designed for resin printers and others for filament printers. But seriously, the variety of stuff out there is mind boggling! It’s way beyond merely stuff for this hobby.

Ok. I’ll take a look see and see what’s out there. I wasn’t aware some are for resin printers and others for filament printers. Hell, I don’t even know the difference between the two. I assumed they’re all resin printers.

Yes, there are two types of 3D printers. I was not aware of that either until I was looking at buying mine. The filament type work something along the lines of a spider web, creating the object from a single strand of filament. The resin type use a small vat of resin and UV light to create the item in tiny layers. Both are run by computer programs.

No rush on it. If you come across something, let me know. Ive been looking myself in various 3D files sites.

If push comes to shove it probably wouldn't be that hard a scratch-building project Tom.

Found this X-15 file that includes a pylon with the x-15 itself

Yeah... I saw that too. Thought it was just the X-15 Rocket no pylon.
