Re: Latest Acquisitions - pt.3
I finally pulled the trigger on a Tamiya 1/48 F-14A (only $79 as the LHS). I debated getting this before I finished my Monogram Tomcat, but no matter how much Tamiya Magic is in the box, I have those nostalgic feelings and life experience driven passion for the Monogram kit that Tamiya will never replace. That said, I just had to see the modern engineering with my own eyes. Now I just need to figure out a way to sneak it into my house--it's not exactly small enough to stick up the back side of my jacket

Chris, I bought that Tamiya Tomcat on sale a few years ago now. I don't have a finished F-14 in the display after owning the Monogram bird since the late 1980s, early '90s. I want to build that Tamiya 'Cat but I'm worried that I'm not up to the challenge.

Hide it in the garage. Sneak it in after the missus is in the shower or in bed for the nightcbaltrin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 8:47 am I finally pulled the trigger on a Tamiya 1/48 F-14A (only $79 as the LHS). Placed an order at Scalehobbyist last night. Should be here by mid-week at the latest.
