Shouldn't be too much longer, although I do think I'm getting a kit for Christmas, that I might actually start on the day for once, we'll see.

Right - having been a bit Spitfired out, I decided to return to the Armour builds I was working on at the end of last year before I had to work on my Wallace and Gromit Motorbike.
So as the Easter Egg box behind it says - IT'S BACK!!!
This is where this kit was yesterday - wheels painted and most of the detail painting on the hull done. I've also finished one of the 498 piece tracks.

And this is where I am now. I've completed the detail painting, assembled the exhaust and their shrouds and given it a coat of gloss clear.

Decals next - then a pin wash around the details. I'm not going to do too much weathering on this one, as I'm not massively into the subject or German Armour, but I just wanted a Tiger on the shelf.
Cheers!

BRAVO! Although I keep wanting to change the title to "Tyger, Tyger." I know you're playing off of that; it's a riff, I get it. Blake, 1794, wow! Time is a funny thing.

Was that really written in 1794? Wow indeed. To be honest Bruce, whilst I'd love to say I was being really clever and was playing off the title, I hadn't actually realised Blake had used a 'y' in the spelling
You learn something new everyday.
Of course I always liked Spike Milligan's version - Tiger Tiger Burning Bright, Watch out! You'll set the Jungle alight.

Such a cool paint scheme Stuart. Looking forward to seeing the weathering process.
Those tracks are indeed the bane of armor modeling.......with sanding roadwheels being a close second. lol

Thanks Joe, I'm still pretty new to weathering so I'm doing some reading up for ideas. I have an idea of what I want, it's trying to actually do it where I might have some fun.mustang1989 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2026 2:13 pm Such a cool paint scheme Stuart. LOL! It's just one of those things that you need to do if you want to build armour I guess. I tend to quite enjoy it once I get into a rhythm.mustang1989 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2026 2:13 pm Those tracks are indeed the bane of armor modeling.......with sanding roadwheels being a close second. lol
