I finally found some originals of the surviving Discovery chest plate and back pack. The 3d printed version has some odd elements to it.

Yes it does. But it was made by a”fan”, using who knows what reference, and costs nothing to download… Just like many of the kits we build, there are some accuracy issues.. :whiteflag:

Thanks Stuart. Just not feeling much modeling mojo flowing right now, so I’m not trying to force anything.

I agree with Stuart! :shoutout: He's getting there! 👍 That's excellent reference stuff from Bruce!

I had a set of astronauts that were kinda like toy soldiers, about the same size. Some of them were orange and some were silver. I believe they even had handheld ray guns! And yes, they did have pitched battles between the colors and sometimes with those toy soldiers. When I was about 12, I decided that I was too old for most of my toys and gave them to a younger cousin. I wish I hadn't.

A bit of research revealed them to be MPC 2" toy astronauts. And they came in several colors in addition to orange and silver:

That mojo is still there, Carlos, just going undercover for a while! You'll soon be posting more updates, I'm sure!
