Good idea that Kari! It's always nice to get a set of masks in a kit, although I'm not so keen on the ones from Tamiya that aren't pre-cut.

Even if there has not been too much updates lately, the work has not stayed still here.

50% of the cockpit finished, still some work on and in the passenger cabin (touchups with paint etc)
The ugly brown paint remains behind one of the pilot seat will not be visible, when the rear cockpit bulkhead will be installed.

Meanwhile, to make sure the plane "sits" correctly, I put 20 gram of lead in both floats.

Even if the Tec7 superglue did the job to attach them firmly inside the float, I added some additional supportive framework from sprue pieces, which should anchor them also "for good".. Well, as long as being careful with the Junkers.

Can just repeat myself again, what a wonderful kit!

Let's see what next!

I was hesitating for quite a while, but yesterday I finally decided to paint this Junkers F13 in the historic Finnish Aero colors (the predecessor to Finnair).

But the challenge was of course, no decals.. Definitely not as AM for scale 1:48.. So what to do? Luckily Miniart has a F13 variant with decals for the the Aero version. So what did I do... I drove to my "local" hobby shop and bought one additional F13 (with skis)!

Would probably not have done it, just like that, but I love the kit and happy to build a second one.

Fuselage will soon be ready
