Who remembers this kit back in the late 70s

Post by BlackSheep214 »

I tried to replicate this rig long before I knew the kit came out. Loved that show too!

I remember the show existed, never watched it though. I vaguely remember seeing the kit in the model aisle of the stores we used to go to back then… :hmm:

I don't know the show but I do know the kit - but only because the Kenworth Aerodyne's one of my favourite trucks and has been on my to build list for years.

I do remember the show and I was an avid watcher. That and Tales of the Brass Monkey. Anywho, those kits are out there, but you're gonna pay up if you want one. I'd love to have one, I love cabovers.

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape.

Yeah... even the KISS van model kit are going for stupid money. Anywhere from $2500 and up. The box only on eBay are selling on average of $25

Vintage kits are currently at an all time high, and that is unfortunate for builders. I wonder if model kits show up at garage sales any more. I haven’t seen any out here. Maybe swap meets. Or church sales.

Antique stores, even thrift stores if you know where to look.

Goodwill is supposed to be a place to find such things, but I never have had any luck with models in their stores.

I go to Goodwill too but haven’t seen any toys or model kits.
