The last photo shows what looks like the poncho/shelter quarter, identifiable by the camouflage pattern, used as a cover to block reflections off the glass when the windshield is folded down. Something I remember doing in the field on jeeps. And yes I am planning to do that on this build.

I like the look of tarp covered windshields. As for the cargo and driver area tarp, I’m gonna have that rolled up in the cargo bed.
Those are great photos Bruce, but those are the Sdkfz.69 version of the Protze. The ammo lockers on the sides of the cargo bed are an identifying feature of that variant. It was designed for towing artillery pieces such as the PAK-36 and LeIG.18.
