Hi Stuart! Yes, I posted a picture of the Short Sunderland previously, but neglected its scale, so thank you for clarifying.

Lyle! I want nothing more than to build this with you. I don’t have the space presently, but let’s see what the future holds!

I've always wanted to build that plane in 1/72 scale, but as mentioned, nobody ever released one in injection plastic. I do have a 1/72 scale Sunderland in the stash. I do need to find that and get started on it.

I saw this photo taken by Kevin Futter from the recent Australian Model Expo in Melbourne. I messaged Kevin for permission to include this image and he was quick to point out that he attended the expo and took the photo but the work is by another modeler—Andrew Crowe, who won first place in the Civil Airways Division with this 1/72 Anigrand kit.

Proof that you can take a batchn of resin and turn it into a masterpiece! Huzzah!

Not from Life. I want to say that several of them turned up on my Pinterest feed at one point. But they are a few years old now and I could have just found them while web browsing for images of the Boeing Clippers. I don’t have any images of the Martin Clippers saved.

Am I the only one with the Theme to Raiders of the Lost Ark going through my head?

Bruce that 1/72 build is amazing! Thanks for sharing it.

What you do at the weekends is your own business Bruce!

I never had a whip, but I used to ware a Fedora regularly, back in my pre-beard days.
