Eduard 1/48 P-39

Post by Stuart »

Just a couple of pictures of the Eduard P-39 I've had on the bench for yonks...

Overall not a bad kit, it certainly went together well. The only really issue was the fit of the doors, because I wanted them closed.

Built OOB, and brush painted with Hataka blue line. Clears were Mr Super. Blue background a'la John Eaton.

Nicely done Stuart. Unconventional build that was lethal in the hands of the Russians.
Thanks,
John

Well, it’s not exactly a rare type in kits available, and the markings & camouflage schemes worn is quite the variety. Pick one!

Nope. I did the old Monogram P-39 kit. Handpainted the camo scheme.😁

Yeah, every time I built that kit as a kid, which was quite a few times I remember, I always chose the shark mouthed RAF camo P-400 scheme for “Hell’s Bells”. It just looked the coolest compared to all the other plain Jane OD & NG options that were also on the kit decal sheet.

But they sure do look dark, sleek, and dangerous in that plain Jane OD & NG… :ballbat:
