Good to have the pics (and you) back, Kerry.

May not the cause here, but just as an general advice: Some forum software starts to hiccup when a certain number of pics in one post is exceeded (approx 15 -20). Starting a new post can help to retain the overwiew, too.

Mostrich, Thank you for your words of advice on overloading, I will just have to wait and see how this turns out before I do any more.
What I can't figure out is that I had started the new series of uploads on an "Edit", the same as I had done with all my other posts here for the 229, and when I hit "submit" after all my images were in place, poof, all gone !!

I for myself try not to post more than 5 pictures in one post. I also do a blank line between pictures for lucidity.

The hint on bandwidth issues is a good one, but as far as I see PhotoBucket than replaces a picture with a warning sign / picture.

Mmmmmmm, Yes, but I think I did that just to see if gremlins were at work or band width issues .

It seems to have worked, and thanks to all members here for being tolerant with me.

I was "Venting" Thomas, LOL, and the XXXXX help me get it off my chest, but it's all cleaned up now and the repairs can begin.

The wooden surface looks spot on.

Anyway, I'd recommend to limit the number of embedded pics per post to 10-15.
Some versions of the phpBB software have been reported to have just that issue you've run into with posts significantly exceeding the 10-15 figures. At first, everything seems to be fine, and then, all of a sudden, the pics appear to have gone. Quite an enfuriating and annoying experience - you spent a considerable amount of time and effort to present your build. Apparently for nothing - repeatedly. So losing one's temper shouldn't be a surprise then. We're all humans.

Erik, I am so glad that all this information is now coming my way, as I was looking for all kinds of things to blame, but I am now realiaing, computers and systems are not always infallible.

Another suggestion:
While editing longer posts, either save them as a draft (the forum software offers such a feature) or copy and paste the BBcode to your text editor of choice. In case another "crash" may occur, you won't have to start from scratch.

Drafts:
User control panel -> Overview -> Manage drafts -> "Here you can view, edit and delete your saved drafts."
