Allright, a choice has been made! Stumbled upon this LA-7 at the LHS today and made a no brainer purchase wit the group build in mind. While this is still the same old Academy LA-7, it has received some interesting new decals and still looks the deal once finished as the Lavochkin was a fairly simple aircraft.
This is going to be my first aircraft model since around spring last year so i chose a basic kit and chose to build OOB with possible scratch additions.
Hope you guys like my choice

Made a start on the pit. Pretty non existant on this Academy oldie so i cut up some UTP cable and scraps of PE and made an attempt to detail it up a bit.
The seatbelts are made of a T34's PE set. Some tool clasps i believe

Those seat belts look convincing, especially for armor PE on an aircraft.
Re: Kermit's Lavochkin LA-7 - 1:48
Nicely done, frogboy. I've about given up on PE and seatbelts....almost.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

That looks really good!
