ASF-X Shinden II [reactivated]

Post by tigrazor »

Hey all.

After having a look at Owls Ace Combat build and a visit at the LHS I decided to wrap up another project - yes, there are tons of them and I hope thats okay (but I can understand if you cant see the forest from the trees, Im having the same problem here :D ).

Maybe a bit expensive, but a very sexy plane is the "ASF-X "Shinden II" from Ace Combat: Infinity. Hasegawa brought her on the market some months ago, and finally theres a special marking from the "Ridgebacks" Sqn.

Quality is awesome and very innovative - but it could have been bigger. :D

Enjoy!

A nice looking aircraft indeed. However, I'm always out looking for the ever elusive Su-22 Flanker D Yellow Limited by Hasegawa. There's no way I'm paying over $100 for that kit. Yeah, I know... I'm :DH: :DH:

yeah, that pumpkin is cool too. :) and here comes the shinden II - she reminds me a bit of a "Berkut" aircraft. Note the "winglets" shes gonna use in certain manoeuvres, and also for landing. ;) Sexy plane, but the music... baaaah.

Fasten your seatbelts, please. Initially I wanted only minimal touch ups for the cockpit, but you know... once you started, you cant stop somehow. :D Heres a short list of things that were changed/updated:

Armatures:

-spare HUD (red kids yoghurt 3D-glasses foil :D ))

area behind bang seat:

-diverse boxes made from profiles & PE parts

bang seat/pilot:

-triangles on the back were drilled, cut and sanded down (they were "massive" - dont ask me why)
-ejection rails added
-diverse boxes & cables for the seat (profile, lead wire)
-self made belts (aluminum foil)
-oxygen tube changed >> made from lead wire
