Most brands of CA or super glue come in various viscosities. These are called "Thick" or "Slow" or "Gel type". I think I have at least three different types of ZAP super glue on my bench.
I often use Gator´s Grip Acrylic Hobby Glue on PE parts that are difficult to align or/and don´t have to bear any loads later. Here is a video I found on Youtube that explains how to use this cool product. Won´t miss this one when doing PE parts!

I've just about given up on the thin CA. Hobby Lobby has a medium that works well for me.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Medic!

And what a great video clip Thomas, makes absolutely sense.. Conclusion, my thin CA is definitely not to be used with PE anymore!
Must try to find that Gator and if not found, Loctice is of course a great option also!

Hmm, would rather be back home continuing my Hellcat, but unfortunately away on a worktrip the entire week.
Missing the smell of glue!

Where'd you get those decals all of a sudden Kari?
Good to see you got around to build a bit on this one! ;)
Can't wait to see more progress!

Even with the glue problems that cockpit is looking good. I often use gel CA, Loctite, Pattex, Bizon or even store brand. I also have Gators grip but use that for canopies and small detail that I add after painting such as antenna's.

Will leave the belts for next day, enough with PE parts for tonight.

I have had plenty of angst with PE and CA. Some great recommendations mentioned. For PE parts that are not load bearing (in lieu of Gator Glue) I sometimes will use Future or Gloss. Gives me plenty of time to move around. After dries and the PE is wet where I want it sometimes I will place a small dot of thin CA at edge of PE. Capillary action will do the rest.

RB has a nice fine tip CA applicator.

Oh Kari, I hadn't seen your post about the glue.

Remember that I had bought a bottle as well when you did?
Well...

My bottle ended up glued shut after I had used it ONCE...
It leaked from the bottle into the big cap over the small cap and that filled up and dried...
So, I'm not buying that fine glue at all anymore, I will keep with the Zap Medium from now on.
Should try the thick one though...

With regards, Ninetalis.

Hi Nine,

yeah... I will also "retire" my thin CA, will perhaps use it in situations Rick (thanks!) described.
Will be thicker CA next time

(my issues with the bottle.. when opening the cap, drops of CA flew all over the place.. even one drop on my lip... with "funny" impact...)
