Resolutions.

Well, I finished another of my resolution aircraft. I just need to take the pics and get them posted. Also, I usually finish about 6 to 10 kits for every one that I acquire so I don't need to do that resolution.

You could work yourself up to a small diorama, with a smaller scale plane or tank? You don't have to build things "contest worthy" ALL the time!

Let yourself make some mistakes on the itty bitty model, so you can learn how to do it better on a larger one!

So my modelling new year resolutions are:

1: get the hang of my new double action airbrush. And black basing.

2: finish the kits that I started in 2014 and at least one "hangar queen/shelf of doom"

3: finish every gb I enter on time.... Even if it is a week or weekend speed build.

4: make a small dio with the Hayabusa I have build and the starter truck that I have started.

I am doing surprisingly well on my resolutions.
1: I have done a few models with black base and did a freehand camouflage. So this is coming along swimmingly.
2: working on those, all are painted and decalled aka nearing completion. As for the shelf of doom: the xp-47h was started years ago.
3: oooooh, tough one. Nope. I dropped the ball in the Messerschmidt GB.... Still not finished.
4: I am building that starter truck so there is progress on this one as well.

My Modeling New Year's resolution was to complete eight Shelf Queens. I have completed one more just today, making this my seventh Modeling New Year's Resolution model.

This is one of the ships I had sitting for a long time. No longer! I finally completed the decals and some other details and this is now complete. This is the Mirage WWI German V-105 Torpedo Boat:





I built this completely out of the box, no special additions or anything. Yeah, it's pretty crude, but then that's the way I build my ships.

Now I have one more Modeling New Year's Resolution to complete. I should have no problem getting it done in four months. Thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

Thanks Jim! I can potentially finish nine Shelf Queens and possibly ten, allowing me to surpass my original resolution. Time will tell...

I don't either do/follow any NY resolutions... But let's hypoteticaly do so, just for the fun... then it would be

a) participate 2015 in some local IPMS competition in the "out of the box" - class.. Just to see what couple of years of "practicing" would result in..
b) finalise at least 1 good build (perhaps the one from paragraph a) ??)
c) build at least one 1/32 scale plane (day dreaming of Trumpeters Mig-21 UM)
d) Buy a "real" airbrush (Iwata or Badger or any other good brand)

Not too unworkable??
