Decided to use my Fouga as the test-rabbit for Vallejos new Metal colors.
Vallejo tells that they can be sprayed without priming, so I decided to do so also.
Used the Chrome paint (77707) as Fougas were very shiny and I thought Chrome should fit more than well.
Very easy to spray on, as easy as with AK:s similar products. Indeed, no smell, not at all!
A quick tape test did fail very dramatically. I did not even push tight the Tamiya tape on the surface and the result is seen below...
So no masking, at least without priming.. Though, not tested that yet...
Back to the Fouga...
As said, the paint went on well and it looks indeed pretty ok.
But the paint is really really fragile, not sure from where this scratch came from..
Now painted and waiting for some remaining details
such as the navigation lights...
And of course decals... which I don't have a this moment..
There is an AM decal set for Finnish Fougas in scale 1:48, but the price is too much, especially for a kit I am not that satisfied of...
So, will see what I will do..
