Agree. Tom Clancy wrote some most interesting stuff back then.

I remember getting into submarines and Tom Clancy big time when i played a computer game called SSN, endorsed by him. You literally had to listen for any activity around you. So immersive.

Anyways, since then i filled my bookshelves with Clancy's work and built many a submarine since then. I prefer german WW2 subs though

Very nice sub Stik! I love the Tom Clancy books and still read the new ones as they come out.

Thanks Doc. Too bad he died a few years ago. No more good stuff coming from him. But he did write some damn good tales.

I really like the fading of the paint on the bottom of the hull---is this based on reference or artistic license? :hmm:

Thanks Manny. I based the weathering off of a few photos of these subs in dry docks. I tried to post one of those photos here, but it is one of those that did not work for some reason.
