Academy 1/72 Me-163S in soviet markings

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

This is my entry for the Messerschmitt GB which I finally finished (two months to late....). It is the 1/72 Academy Me-163S Komet. I used a CMK cockpit set, Master pitot tube and decals by Rocketeer.
To make this captured example I added a scratch build venturi tube, a radio unit and antenna, opening rods for the canopy. And I deleted the armoured glass, guns and reflector sights.

And now, without further ado:

Proficiat Borg!

A beautiful build, a beautiful paint work!

Shouldn't you (or perhaps you will ?) participate with this beuaty on the Scale Model Challenge 2015 in Eindhoven in October?

So cool, so petite, so damned well-done! Man, that's a great lil' bird Borg. Your work in 1/72 is just fantastic sir! I would venture that that is a prize winning model.

Thanks for all the kind words. However, I have participated in some modelling shows I know this one would not win. Maybe that is not a clear from the photos but I see a paint and glue smear or two that would result in not making the first cut.

As for Scale Model Challenge, sounds like a nice event. I had never heard of it before. However I will be on vacation on Curaçao in that week so I will not be able to attend.
But Euroscale Modelling is on the 31st of October. That will probably be even bigger so I will be there.
