I just wasn't feelin' the paint job from earlier so in the brake fluid it went to strip everything and started the whole process over again only this time the paint came out smoother and I actually made it to the clear coat this time around Here it is with the paint and the clear. I still have to apply the flames (which I ordered an adhesive template today from Australia) and clear it again. Then it'll be down to polishing and buffing out the clear. We're gettin' there folks!
Here's a mock up with the grille just stuck in place:
Lookin great bud! Next domestic car you build you need to put deep butt impressions on the front seat, a broken set of sunglasses in said depression, Walmart sales add on the seat and fast food bags all over the floor, insured by Smith and Wesson sticker on side window...........and oh yeah,,,, stupid stick "family" stickers in the rear window.
Things are crawlin' along with this build. Nothing to post pics about yet. I mean all I'd be posting is a tail gate painted, then maybe some steps and the hood scoop. I will say this , the next update will be a big one so just know that I am in fact still progressing with this one. 12 more days to go..............
So far so good here. It's been a bit since my last update but I've been painting body parts now for the last two weeks. Here's a quick test fit. I need to raise the front end just a tad but I'm likin' it so far. Flames came in last night so I hope to get started on that pretty quick.
