Started with the gears/bays and associated parts (all just dry fit so far)

One thing I really don't like is that the main gears are one piece, that will have to be glued in place before painting....making for a PITA mask job....BOOOOOOOO
Otherwise...so far, so good!
Thought you said this was 1/72nd scale... :bored:

Really? Good thing I was able to print out the instruction guide. I gotta check this out. I wonder why they tell you to do that?

I have the same kit and I like the fact that it is in one piece for alignment and strength issues. :writing: I'm not sure you HAVE to glue it in place before painting though---do you? :Beaver:

Yes...and no...

Th center piece of the bay locks the "plate" (connection piece of main gears) into a recess...then a fuselage piece (in back ground) fills the void and goes over the bays center piece....this piece could be painted separately, but I'm not a big fan of doing such things. Another, better, option, would be to drill a pin hole, through the gear into the "plate", then slice the gear from the plate, then use a pin when attaching them later..... :hmm: ...that's a hell of an idea!!!

The battery. The blue ones were the originals installed at the aircraft plant. New maintenence-free ones are red in color and installed on all blocks.
Build 'em, don't hoard 'em!
