LOL!!! You know Stuart I didn't know about all that stuff either. I used to categorize "car modeling" as entry level stuff until I started going to shows and more importantly become a member of an all automotive modeling forum. There's some of those guys over there that are for real into this hobby. I've seen dudes that will floor you with not only their finishing skills but Alclad as well. I've made mention of him here in the "Latest Acquisitions" thread but this fella named John Teresi has got to be one of the best modelers across the board that I've ever seen.
He took a Barbie boat hull...

and a 1/12 scale Corvette....

Had an idea and I watched him turn his vision.....

into.........

a masterpiece.......

His procedures and usage of Alclad are(in addition to his eye for detail) , in my opinion, unrivaled. Folks, that's not kit chrome you're lookin' at.....it's Alclad all the way...

Yeah I agree that is superb. It's an interesting concept that has been done brilliantly and I love the detailing/finish on that engine - that looks real.

That is first class bit of modelling.

This auto stuff is a whole new world of modelling that I know very little about - I will find out some more though.

Me too. I'll get back to the aircraft at some point in the foreseeable future. Right now I'm doing good with all this stuff. We'll see what happens next year...............

There's another word I used when I saw it for the first time but will refrain from using it here! LOL. . This stuff is nothing but added inspiration and is something that I strive for in automotive building.

I still can't get over some of those guys imagination on that forum. I do like this guy because not only is he good but he has an excellent attitude as well , willing to share knowledge and not one of those freekin' "Holier than thou" horses a$$ attitudes that I've seen a select few have. One of these days I hope to attain this kind of skill. Until then I'll keep trying.

It's amazing to see how some people just have that skill, build-in imagination to first of all combine those and then make it to look just so cool !

Heh... I ordered if the guy's daughter ever wondered what happened to her Barbie motorboat.

Kari: It's all fun to watch come together alright. He's working on a stagecoach drag strip wheel stander right now. That thing is outta sight man. Outta sight I say.

Tom: LOLOLOLOL!!

I was applying BMF to the passengers door window trim this morning and looked over at the truck bed and realized I haven't posted any pictures of the wood planks and mini wheel tubs that I fabricated in the bed yet. I figured I'd get that posted up this morning.
