1:48 Jakowlew Jak-9

Post by Cherrylock »

A standard fighter of the russian air force, build 16.769 aircrafts, was in combat in WW2 and korean war...

these are models from ICM/Alanger, with engine and some good details, but need to filler and grind a little bit and the decals are not todays standard..

Wow ! I never heard of Jak-9s by the Russians in WW2. Love the Polish markings on the undersides of wings.

Very nice! That a/c has really nice lines.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Great builds Cherrylock!

Sidenote..
One learn indeed every day something new.. I was not aware of this fact before, but even the French Air Force used Jak-9's... Yes, on the Eastern front a special French fighter squadron operated alongside the Russians.
Short but interesting information here

Yaks a lot! I love these Cherry, what a nice collection of builds. I have the ICM 9T in the stash and was surprised at some of the nice detail it features. Well done indeed.
