now THAT looks superb! Nice work Owl!CallSignOWL wrote:I wanted to do this up as a bird from Desert Storm, so that meant I had to piece together the kits' decals. Old as they were, the decals did not want to come off the backing and neither did they want to stick to the model!! Luckily, the white glue mix helped solve the silvering problem....![]()

first quick flat coat to blend the weathering together. Next, the fiddly-bits will be attached and a final flat coat for the finish!

thank you!
I do two flat coats because I am clumsy and get glue spots on the finish... Superglue is shiny, so I spray another flat coat once everything is attached so I can hide the glue-shine.

Owl, you really have a knack for making realistic finishes on aircraft! That one looks like a well used veteran already. Looking forward to final pics.

Nice and Aardvarky (?) - a clean build and it looks great
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Nice SparkVark from the 366th Electronic Figher Wing in good ole Mt. Home, Idaho. (Believe me, the AFB there is the only thing good about Mountain Home!)
I've got one in 1/48 that I will be building this year.
