Re: Revell '56 Ford F-100-Finish Line Close!!! 12/19
Got the upper radiator hose done and will be movin' on to the lower. I was using solder but it was only .062" and I couldn't seem to find the .085"-.090" diameter I needed until I went to Auto Zone picking up some windshield washer fluid for my wifes car when I saw some 18 gauge black electrical wire. It was a perfect size at .086" and it was already black. I cut the wire to length and shaped it. Before shaping I robbed one strand of copper wire from the inside of the insulation and used that for the hose clamps. I did the wrapping and shaping on a spare piece of insulated wire then transferred the clamps over and super glued them to the hose on the back side. I shot the whole assy with a coat of clear flat with a drop or two of gray mixed in to give it that true dull rubber hose look. No shiny bold black hoses here. I painted the clamps "aluminum" and set it aside. I'll be shaping the lower hose tomorrow morning.

You are becoming a Styrene Master my young boy. May the fumes be with you.

Folks I just cant believe what I'm seeing here. This thing is finally finished after 10 flippin' months!!!!!! I still have to put a lower radiator hose on it but I've had just about enough hair raising , nerve racking events while handling it today. Thank you all very much for your comments and encouragement along the way. I've been pondering another aircraft build for a while now since it's now been over a year since I've done any. I have my ZM Ta-152 that should be here any day now so I may take off with that one.
Without further delay.............here are the completed photos of Demon 3 from the Street Demons series back in 1983.

Oh man!
That is so beautiful Ford...
After all these months of following this build, there will not be enough of words to describe it enough now when in this grand finale!
So I will just use one word that tells it all:
Perfect.
