Ok.. work continues with some painting..

The blue is Navy Blue (Gunze H54) but does not look at all as it should look.. That deep dark, shiny blue..
Nope... but well, it is what it is... in this particular build..

Next step decaling samba! I selected the 2nd decaling option, "Anacostia"

Had a lot of issues with the decals, they had to soak pretty long in the water, challening to slide them off etc... some swim away so I decided to skip some of the stencils.. which is sort of pity, as they are pretty detailed and sharp in their quality otherwise.

Prop done..

And here she is, waiting for the last bits and pieces to be attached, masking off but probably no greater weathering this time..
Just some tiny things and then I would say it's done!

Nice! We're the stenciling in white or black?

Thanks Blacksheet, the stencils are white and pretty good taking in consideration a very cheap kit..

You can read most words in the stencil, below close-up of the landing gear

Shame on the decals. I had the same problem on the Goose. They would loosen in the middle, but the edges were stuck tight.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

This is looking great Kari! This is a fine start to the New Year. I understand about the decals. I had my share of issues with one of the kits I've been working on.
