Thanks Joe!

After the upper and lower wing separated at the wing root on the starboard wing in transit to the last show I went to with this one I didn't think I'd be able to enter it in another contest. I was able, however, to repair it and make it presentable for her last appearance on the show circuit before retiring her to the display case for good.

She won 1st place in the category and then something I didn't see coming was this:

A special award for Best WWII Axis Aircraft in Show:

She went out with a "Bang".

Congratulations Joe! :shoutout:

I will say it is a well deserved award and one I could've predicted. I knew this was prize winning model as soon as I saw it. You are a master-modeler Joe and inspire me to try harder with my modest efforts. Good on ya mate! When do we see your next masterpiece?

Congratulations! I'd say that is one very well-deserved award for such a commendable model!

What a well deserved honor! That is a terrific build.

Thanks everybody. This place has been a welcome distraction with all that's going on right now. I've given thought to taking this thing to the Nationals after a little clean up.

Well, heck yes, I would shave and put on clean underwear to go to the nationals. . . or were you referring to the model?

I remember that one and it's as good as I remember - Superb build Joe!

I'd hope that'll do well!

Cheers
