Kari, you are right, there are easyer riggings, but it is done in 3 eavenings, so it i ok for me, Roden has no riggingplan include so I have to search and find the Eduard plan.

So you do the rigging _during_ the build ?

I am not yet even a beginner, when it comes to rigging, but I have always thought the rigging is done as the very last moment, at least after paintwork.
But clearly this is not the case, one learns every day something new! :-)

on the Gotha WIP I will show more or less all technics I use to build this planes, Kari rigging looks real complex but it easy, drill all fix points and fix the wood pieces, than us a long wire and start sawing, take clothespin at both ends for tention the wire, the bond the wire with superglue, cut and end grind the unused part of wire..finished. Easy and fast, try it..

I don't know how you do it but you make it look so damn easy to do. I've got a 1/32 scale Sopwith Camel kit in my stash and I'm scared to try rigging. Although the instructions for that kit looks simple enough. Just not sure of using the thread supplied with the kit would be realistic enough - let alone be a dust magnet over time on display.

I am also a little bit scared, but then I was thinking.. I should buy the cheapest bi-plane only to test rigging on. Nothing else, no painting etc, just rigging rigging rigging... and then when I feel comfortable with it, I would build a "real" one...
