Thank you sir. Yes, the wash and dry brush really makes that stuff pop! :o I'm glad that the hatches can be posed open to show it off.

Amazing detail work. How did you make the boxes?
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

And how are you going to fix them to the vehicle so that they don´t fly around when driving in rough terrain?

Thank you Lyle. The MRE cases are pre printed that you buy, cut out, and glue together. These are from Tamiya, from their latest modern accessories set. Several other companies such as Verlinden make this sort of stuff as well.

Thomas, If I was going all out here, (not this time, need to get it finished soon- have an end of the month deadline) and this build was for a contest where folks in the know were gonna be looking that hard at the interior, I would make and add some lead foil cargo tie down straps. I know between those and wedging stuff in place between things that were strapped down, our tracks were good... unless you had a roll over which is bad news in any case... :o

I have been nickle and diming progress here since my last update, but have really not had chance to take and post photos. I did this on my days off last week
top deck glued on

There were some gaps at the top and bottom of the glacis plate. I filled the seams with putty and have smoothed them (and painted that area in white) since then, but no photos of that work yet.
Image

I also assembled the machine gun mounts, smoke grenade launchers, antenna mount and hollowed out the exhaust pipe
Image

and the kit has you hang the camo net bag here, but photos show that is where the spare track shoes are mounted so I added those. I still need to add the mounting brackets, but they are in the proper place

I have painted and installed the roadwheels and will get photos of that and everything else that I have done up in the next few days...

But I have no place to build yet! You're just mean spirited. :(

And why are there no drinking or pirate icons on this site? :(

No money left to add a treasure chest to this place. Sorry... Donations welcome, though!
