The majority of assembly is done.
Masked off and painted the window frames black (they're black on the inside)
Then sprayed grey, for the interior as well.

Great build so far of a really unique looking Navy plane!
I wonder how the future look like for the Hawkeye, it's probably already 50 year old plane, is there some replacement planned or is the Hawkeye still going strong (that I hope)

No replacement in the foreseeable future. They've just started bringing the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye to the fleet. All glass cockpit instruments, Upgraded.......well everything, including the engines. And around 2018-2020 the Hawkeye will have the ability to aerial refuel for the first time in it's history.KSaarni wrote:Great build so far of a really unique looking Navy plane!
