1/48 Monogram B-25H

Post by ajd3530 »

Hello all, I am new here, but I recognize a good deal of you from FSM.

Here I will be doing a WIP of the old H model release of Monograms 1/48 B-25. Those who are familiar withbne know I have trouble finishing up a project sometimes (love building, but despise seam work and suck at painting) but I have my mind set on getting this done. I will be making this one all buttoned up, so will be bypassing the interior work aside from the cockpit and around the waist gunners.

This kit was actually started when I got it. Most of the interior green was painted, and a majority of the sub-assemblies were put together (not the most wonderful work, might I add.)

Image

So far I have tried to clean up somebody the work that was already done, plus I have assembled the wing span/bomb bay section, as well as the crude 75mm cannon.

Welcome aboard ajd! I see that you are jumping right in with a WIP build! Excellent! I hope that you like our little corner of hobby madness here... Keep on building and keep on posting. I look forward to seeing the B-25 completed.

Nice to have you around, AJD!

I see we share the same problem of indeed finishing a build... :quotes:
Looking forward to your work on this Monogram kit. Despite their age they have a certain appeal to me, as they have been my "fellows" growing up as a modeller.

Howdy, from Kentucky. I love those old Monogram kits. Teaches patience, sanding, filling, sanding, filling....among other things.

Welcome!

Yes! As can be seen by me having two B-29 kits in the stash, as well as two C-47/DC-3s, a B-24 and a Catalina. :beau:

I know where you are coming from! I have 9 or 10 more of these Monogram B-25s of different varieties sitting upstairs. Plus the 4 Accurate Miniatures.
