Wow. Thanks, Paul!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I remember when I was a kid, my father had a Chris Craft and we would anchor in Lake St. Clair in the mit. They would be at the Selfridge Air Show and they would fly really low over all the boats! Even the ANG pilots would give us a show on the lake once in a while! Probably the reason I like F-4's so much!

But, I did see the 18's in Travers City last summer! Fantastic show!

I always thought that show would be great, sittin on a boat out there!

I vaguely recall seeing them with F-4s.....remember the A-4s well...and have seen the 18's many times. I think the best time was up in Traverse. My wife and I had our honeymoon up by Torch Lake..took a day trip over to Traverse. I saw an F-18 in the distance. We swung in to the Traverse airport and there they were! (the one I saw was #7)...1-6 were on the ground, getting ready to take off for practice, for the cherry fest. We hit the KFC for a bucket-o-chicken and went to the beach. I swear, they fly lower and faster for practice, than they do for the show....AWESOMENESS!!! All just by chance...had no idea they would be there!

Next time you pass through this way, shoot me a PM...I'm only a couple miles off 23 (Whitmore area...I know you know!!!) We can nerd out and look at some models!!!
