That was really good news, happy you found!

Must study them carefully on my computer screen, now only my phone display...

First layer of paint is on. Akan AMT-4, first time I used Akan paints. I like the result but I had some difficulty getting it to "work". The Akan paint is very thick. At first I thinned 2ml with 4ml of Gunze self levelling thinner. But that was to thick. I added more and more into I has this!

That is 25ml that was leftover after painting. To I thinned it in a more then 10 to 1 ratio.

But I like the result

Got to do some more painting. Again Akan paint and again I thinned to much.

Nice work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Lyle!

I have brushed Future for a gloss layer and have put the decals on. They behaved surprisingly well.

Did you get the lacquer or the regular acrylic AKAN? If lacquer, the site did say it works well with Tamyia lacquer thinner. I am working on on order to get several AKAN acrylics for a couple of WW2 Russian aircraft kits and a MIG-21 kit myself. I have planned on ordering their brand thinner as well.

I'm also looking to pick up a 6 pack combo set for WW2 armour as well. I've got a T-34 in my stash.

I have Akan water based acrylic. I read on several sites one can use laquer thinners for those to.
It worked pretty well on green and blue, white was a bit more tricky.
I have also read of people using alcohol or Tamiya x-20a.

That's looking really nice Borg. I'm thinking of getting some of those paints for my SU-27 - what do you think - worth the money?
