Those engines look great! As the putty, it does not look as much. I wish my builds were that neat.

Even with that much putty, it still looks extremely clean and sharp. You are definitely getting this beat into submission.
Holy crap! I just noticed your "Historic FSM 229 Thread" mug! That's hilarious! I lost it when I saw that. It's been awhile since I've seen that thread; please refresh my memory of what it was all about. I just remember reading it was hilarious!

...It all started when....
Someone asked "how to convince their significant other, to allow them to spend $229 on a model kit" (I believe it was referring to a few new releases (at that time) that were priced at $229). The original poster got butthurt by some "tongue in cheek" comments...then it just kinda took on a life of it's own, and became a bit of a "catch-all" room, for silliness and nonsense...hilarity ensued.....

I know...it doesn't really look like a lot of putty...and would be considered a very small amount by some peoples standards. For the fading...started with black, then marbled with white. For the finish coat, I mixed black with already thinned clear gloss...roughly 25% black. After another gloss and decals, I mixed up a wash, raw umber, black and tan. When I sprayed the dull coat...the whole thing COMPLETELY fogged up. Took more dull coat to it, slowly, to eat away at the "fog"...was able to get the vast majority of it gone, leaving just enough to work to my advantage. After that, I used a buffing wheel in the Dremel as well as an old T-shirt to buff it a little, for a little bit of sheen.BorgR3mc0 wrote:
