Gablers Gunfighter *COMPLETED*

Post by tigrazor »

Good evening everyone.

Since when am I building planes again? Literally very seldom, I guess. Once in a lifetime you have to do a kit that is a true classic. And what could be more classic than a Bf 109...

Since the first time I saw Gablers Mosquito hunter, I was hooked. A Bf 109 in bare metal finish (for less weight, that is) - thats something you really dont see very often except in an aircraft factory hall.

Who was Kurt Gabler? And what does his G-6 look like?

Theres some trouble with the wings - some say its RLM 75 on top and RLM 76 on the belly (the Eduard instructions for example). Some say its all natural metal - what makes sense somehow, all paint stripped off should give even better performance.

Now lets go and hunt some Mossies!

:peace:

Well, now...that should be fun!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Regarding the kit itself and the subject: for sure. :quotes: By chance :quotes: I found some Eduard pilot & crew figures as well for some bucks less.

Looking great so far. I can't wait to see you do your magic on this.
