Re: Gablers Gunfighter | belly done, ready for paint

Post by tigrazor »

The fighter builds itself almost. Everything fits and thers only little sanding neccessary. I made up my mind how the base should look like too. Theres a small firm who does laser cutting, and I asked them to make me a "type sign"/base label for it. Lets see if they can do it.

Some time was left today, and I painted the metallic color - this happened with an Airbrush of course and with Vallejo metallics. After having good results with my MiG 15, this is what happened with the Messerschnitzel. ;)

I love that moment when small parts like canopy, rudder and the propeller are test fitted on the belly.

I guess the finishing takes a while - there are still small parts left and theres loads of stencils. ;)

You really make me want this kit, Lucas! Seems all the praise could be true.
On the tail rudder: this is a decal?

Nice finish! Eager to see it with the markings.

Thomas, yes thats a decal. It makes the complex shape of the painting a lot easier. A propos decals: Theyre so thin and soft, you wont even need Microset or similar for it.
