found the obs dome. it is firmly ( I hope) in place. still looking for the tailwheel piece. Fuselage is together, a bit of PPP applied and I quit, to let that dry overnight. It would be nice if the designers would anticipate ham-handed builders.

What, and deprive all within earshot of my colorful vocabulary lessons???

I'm really glad you found that dome... wheels are usually a bit more resilient. BTW, I love the tale of the D.C.-3 nose gear collapse. Although, IIRC, didn't the Navy modify their R4Ds late in service life to have that set up, along with new engines?

That's why I like older kits with a lower parts count - less to loose to the carpet monster

Yeah, but I still manage to mess something up. I have hardwood laminate in my room. Makes it easier to find stuff.

When it rains, it pours Lyle! Furnace out sounds like money going out too. But, on the bright side, your model is coming right along. Work faster, you'll warm right up!!

Got my space heater goin', I'm good. Furnace just got fixed. It was just the ignitor - Probably still a couple hunnert. Oh well. Stayed warm enough outside.

Yup. Under 200.

Not much going on. Got the tail glued and I'm getting ready to start masking the nose. I forget who said to remove the extra from around the individual masks - would help you see them better. Whomever did these for the Revell kit, made the backer the same color as the mask material. Not nice, people.



Hit the seam with some Future so I can glue it up.



Gave up on finding the tailwheel after what "stub" that was left departed said model. I hope to be able to drill it out, clip the new piece and do the same.



I've also had some issues with the seams popping open. I am using Tenax. I guess I'm holding them to tight and not enough space for the glue to wick in the seam.
