Painted with brush and using the almost 40 years old decals.
Hope you enjoy it.

Very nice! And you were able to get 40 year old decals to work? Impressive!

So, the kit is about 40 years old, but has only been built recently?

The kit is oder then me. Bought it a few years ago on Ebay.
I built three of those old Matchbox, but the decals worked to my surprise. Those from the Gladiator were a bit tricky...

I always evaded having to do the rigging on an aircraft... You did a fine job on this tiny plane!
The propeller shows a realistic wooden paint job, maybe a little bit too glossy for my taste.

Thanks Thomas!
Yepp, u are right, it might bei to glossy - it looks like the wooden elements of a Riva-Boat, but I like it as it is.
In general I like these old Matchbox kits. They are not very detailed, they have those heavy ingraved panel lines and most of them only a few decals. Nevertheless one they are built they look good to me and have there own character. The old box-arts are also very impressing and it is really satisfying to build the kits like I used to when I was a kid. That's what I like to recomend to all of you.
And finally Matchbox hadert some very unique kits in production.

I am with you on the charm of those old, tri-coloured Matchbox kits!

Beautiful job on that ancient model! I also love Matchbox kits. Matchbox decals are some very hardy little buggers! I built on old Matchbox Stranraer that was a good 35-40 years old and used the decals fine without any decal film! Went on like the best Cartograf decals.

Beautiful job once again! I love that little plane!
