The Alpha Jets are ok, but the black is in my opinion just black, without "life".
Nevertheless I moved on with my MiG to make it more MiG-look-like. So I printed a sheer plan of a MiG-21 to get a feeling of some details. First thing was to create two tail fins.
For upcoming further modifications, I remembered the movie "Top Gun". The first dog fight took place somewhere over the Indian Ocean. That was at the time the Soviet Union still existed. The closest distance from Ashgabat in Turkmenistan to Karachi in India is round about 1700 km. The Enterprise might have been 500 km away from that coast. That means for the MiG-28, which had no external fuel tanks, 4,500 km from Russia to the US Navy carrier and return to Russia. I guess this distance is a bit out of range for such an aircraft. I like the idea more, that these MiGs started on a secret soviet aircraft carrier. That means further, I have to add an arrestor hook and maybe two wheels on the front landing gear. The wings will get some modifications to pretend they have a folding mechanism.

Yesterday night I airbrushed the white onto my Rafale A. Everything went well with using Tamiya’s gloss white. Unfortunately the pictures do not show, that the soft pre-shading worked and there is a tiny effect. Today I hope to add the anti-glare black at the cockpit area, but I need to cut some masks first.
