Good morning, John. Thank you for your tip re the Eduard Zoom IP. I keep circling around what you wrote that the cockpit cowl hides the majority of the IP. The way I understand this, my ideas arejkim wrote:The colored Eduard stuff also has a fabric texture that can be distracting. I usually give it a shot of clear flat to knock it down. I have not personally tried the Yahu panels but they look amazing. If they make one for the Tank fighter, I'd definitely consider it as a top option.
1) Use an available Eduard Ta 152 photo etch panel flat coated to dull the fabric sheen
2) Buy a punch and find or fabricate dials to fit the ZM IP
3) Wait for Yahu to release a Ta 152 IP
I don't know if I'm going to overcome this easily. For me, I hoped to be able to build this kit with additional seatbelts like you did, but adding aftermarket parts adds up to an expensive gamble. I'm still tempted by the Aries. I think the top panel of the Yahu FW 190 late model IP is close enough and cost effective to be a contender. I don't mind scratch building but my project goal is to build something for me, and I'd like that to be a new modern kit; one that does not require a lot of finesse with AM expense. I am upset and blocked by this one piece of a 150 or so piece kit and in danger of losing faith. Perhaps that is too strongly worded, but maybe I can overcome this point of view through doing the kit. "Perhaps, maybe, I don't know." It's tough for me to decide. Any thoughts? You did this, and you did this beautifully. So I ask you... what should I do?
