The 109 looks great. But I am really liking the wood work that you're adding onto the display base. An excellent touch!

It is a new aspect to my work.
Welcome back,
First effort at a base, so probably over engineered a bit. Photo frame with craft sticks around the border to build a flush interior edge. Craft stick supports in each corner. Monte Marte 24 hour air dry clay (terracotta because it's closer to desert colour) rolled to within an inch of its life (with talcum powder to negate sticking) to form a thin covering over the entire insert. Secured with white glue and trapped underneath the photo frame edges. Items placed and tyre marks gently added. The wooden walkway has been gloss coated, oil washed then Promodeller wash followed by Ultra Matte Varnish. I have some sand from the kids sandpit and some commercial stuff for rocks etc. now to leave it for 24 hours plus to dry:
