Nice! I didn't use the invasion stripe decals on mine. Instead, I hand painted invasion stripes on my P-47 since none were perfectly straight on the actual aircraft back then. I use Vallejo's Off white instead of pure straight up white for the weathered look.

Oh yeah, they're a pain to mask for the stripes too. Try achieving perfect even widths on the fuselage part. I can't tell you how many times I've masked, remasked and swore in the process. :giggles:

WOW!!

Did you pick out individual panels to create surface effects? Those effects are superb.

Bruce. Yes and no. I did use different shades but I chose to soft edge the panels. And kind of marble the panels. To me a wartime aircraft is not kept pristine. I'm hoping once I get the decals on everything will look like a used but not abused aircraft.

Decals complete on Fat Cat. Still working on the stencils on Georgia Peach.
