Re: JKim's Completed Builds
For a model with a lot of flaws, this far outshines anything I could do. Outstanding job man!

Thanks for the comments on the Flogger guys! Here are some pictures of the Aires cockpit.

The Eduard wheel wells were very detailed.

The spindly, crab-like landing gear assembly was a challenge to glue into place.

John, you are not kidding about the detail on those AM products. Wow! Very intricate small details that are tiny but quite noticeable.

Yes, but honestly I think the overload of aftermarket parts played a part in me losing steam on this build. It was hard to keep track of the overlap between the various aftermarket sets and the kit parts. It's not as daunting now that I've got some kits under my belt but I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed at the time.

I understand completely. I don't use much AM stuff myself. Just a little here and there to dress up whatever project.

I'm in awe on the detail painting on the Flogger cockpit and bang seat. Very impressive indeed on the wheel well details too. Hell, the whole kit is impressive and jaw dropping.
Yup.... gonna have to take up quilting soon.

The skills shown here are unbeliveable! Really, John, you should think about to send some pictures to Tamiya Model Mag, or any other serious modelling mag! Such builds more than deserve to be featured!

Thanks guys! I don't think this stuff is good enough for publication and I don't have any intention of going that route in the near future. I think personal satisfaction and sharing online is enough gratification for me. Here's another night fighter.
