I just popped a whole lot of corn in your honor! I love how the whole place now smells like a movie theater. I think I am going to see the latest "Apes" movie tomorrow. It's supposed to be a Western of sorts....

Lol! That is a very pleasing aroma. We are going to see "Dunkirk" tomorrow evening. I can't wait.

Re: 1/48 Airfix Bf-109F
Well, here are my latest update photos from the past few days.
First up, a basic dark wash

Then some dry brushing with a medium to light gray

Then the bright color detail painting

I need to do some follow up pin wash work and a final flat coat, followed by some bare metal light dry brushing in a few spots, but this is almost ready to close up. I just was quite a bit busier on my days off than I had thought I would be and have not had the time that I had wanted to be at my bench...

Hi Carlos! Good evening!
Did you see "Dunkirk" yet? Here are some of the models...

Enjoying your "build at speed" immensely, and truth to tell, you are inspiring my own progress! Stay motivated!

Thanks Bruce. And yes, I saw "Dunkirk" last night. Let's just say that I'm now inspired to build more aircraft of that time and place...
They used RC models for the film? Awesome! I was quite impressed by the aerial sequences.

Thanks for the update Carlos! The interior is looking great! I usually like to do my wash AFTER the detail painting as it is a good way to cover up minor painting flaws.
I also saw Dunkirk this weekend. In IMAX!

Re: 1/48 Airfix Bf-109F
Borg and John, thanks for looking in. Borg, I am trying. This kit has aged well enough I think. Certainly a good kit for the novice modeler. John, I usually do my washes after the detail painting as well. But then the washes often tone down the detail painting too much. So I tried a wash beforehand here. But I did another wash after in a few spots. I'll get some more photos posted soon. This darn job of mine is getting in the way of my hobby work!
