1:48 Grumman F9F Cougar

The Cougar is a version/ new aircraft of the korean war fighter Panther. It was strted in Navy dark blue and than get the newer high vis schema with lot of colors :giggles:

this is the shortrun kit
1:48 Fonderie Miniature ;
Decals and loadout is from Kitty Hawk

Grumman F9F-8; VF-61 Jolly Rogers; USS Intrepid; 1956

Very colorful! Now you've got me wanting one to add to the stash. Never thought it had very nice lines. Well done!!

GOOD IDEA; but do not use the FM kit, Kittyhawk is better, but not easy at all :quotes:

CL tThat looks top notch! You can never go wrong with Jolly Rogers markings! Maybe you could do a series of builds covering that from the F4U to the Super Hornet...

and the Photo Cougar, F9F-8P from Kittyhawk, School of Ptography NAS Pensacola 1961, much better kit, lot of details and options to build a fighter or a recce, 5 marking options...and some fit problems, but muc better than FM

That is bright!!!! Need some shades to look at that one. Very nice build!

Congratulations on both models, Cherrylock. Your work is incredible. Thanks so much for posting both, too. You have an inspiring collection of models. You must have a great display case! How do you display them?

thanks speedgraflex, the collection is big and finding a place is sometimes the bigger problem than the building.
