Brengun 1/72 Bachem Natter

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

It's done! A super fast build in my book. All in all an easy build, fit was examplary for a short run kit (FYI Brengun has retooled it to a long run mold). I made a mistake with the canopy. It shifted slightly during glueing and on such tiny model that half mm can be seen by the keen observer.

The vignette is called "they told us to destroy it".
The story is simple, two Luftwaffe man disobey orders during the final days of the war to be able to have a bargaining chip with us troops. The demolition materials are still on site.
And the US soldier cannot believe his eyes that he has captured a rocket plane.

Here are the pics,I made the last ones with a bit different light and a penny for size.

Borg, your work is incredible. I am continually inspired by your ability to showcase unusual aircraft with such skill. Your work on this craft in a diorama setting is outstanding.

All the best.

A very fine finish! The build, the figures, and the base all tie together nicely to bring this to life! :shoutout:

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I will now turn my attention to the Baynes Bat and am contemplating a next build. Maybe a Russian Rocket plan, BI-1 or a I-302.

Magnificent work Borg! What a brilliant little story well told with such masterful modeling. Way to go!
