Cheers, Marius! What a great vacation! What a vivid dream and now back to reality for a bit. You are right about interdimensional travel. I was also thinking about Elon Musk’s theory that our reality is really a simulation.

After my return I spent some time to modify the ejection seats.

Your scratch building skills are amazing, Marius! Great job transforming simplified forms into believably complex and realistic ones. Colors look great, too!

I don’t know if you know, but Zoukei Mura plans to release Hortens in 1:72 and 1:44. When that happens, I will let you know!!



I still have the Revell version to finish this year. I look to your thread for the courage to do this, actually. Without an air brush I become frustrated by the thickness of the color layers. It seems to me that the term “scale effect” has less importance currently to modelers, and now we are all about “what lies beneath,” be it variegated light dark basing, black basing, and color coats with interference layers of hairspray or salt. You are exploring ideas with salt chipping, certainly, and the results are excellent.

Regarding your Horten: What about a fully RLM76 painted One? I'll try to post a sample picture.


Do I buy a Horten by ZM ... Hmm... Currently I think it is a Bit overengineered from my point of view


Beside that the first finished ejection seat is glued into the cockpit. Since this photos have been taken, I have modified the cutting edges of the seat-belts with a blue Copic Marker.

Marius—the modifications to the shape of the seat are subtle but much closer to the original form now! Exciting to see how the new details of the seat and the new form of the seat fits into a cockpit you created as though made for each other. Bravo. A lot of careful work to make this happen has happened in between the posting you have made and your work now pays off.

HORTEN

When a hot rod is finished in primer it is called "sueded," for the texture is similar to leather. Many Luftwaffe aircraft have this texture! I don't know how to achieve it in scale yet.

What do you think about such a painting. Overall RLM76 and with that asymetric red but without that Nazi-stuff. Can look interesting.

Or modify it to an American build-to-print to represent the Kenneth Arnold UFO ...

I returned to my Viggen. The scratchbuild cockpit has almost been finished. 2nd ejection-seat put in place, 1st control Stick (scratched) too, HUD in preparation.
