Mostrich, I think that look comes from the 3 colors of the sprues. But you are right.

I injured myself bloodily with a scalpel while processing my P-38. After stopping that bleeding I was only able to prepare the testbed Bearcat and my P-40 for coloring.

Hats off to you for all the upgrades to the Viggen! That is gonna be quite a bit of modification and improvement on that classic Matchbox kit.

Hello Marius! I have the flu so I am a bit delirious. Is this Bearcat by Revell/Monogram originally from the Sixties?

The only mods were details added to the struts. I really like how a boss paint job carries the day alongside killer photography (just like what you are doing actually).

Stik and the others, I need thank you again for your interest and your motivating and laudatory words. That's a but unfamiliar to me.

My Bearcat is the same kit as the one you linked. And it will have the same colors I guess.

Since last night there is also a Hurricane waiting for the paint-job.

Returning to the Viggen: At a American automotive supplier I wirkend for I learned that you don't have problems, you only have challenges.
The Viggen offers a challenge with her Canopies. Especially the rear one. It is to small in Y and bended in all directions. The mismatch in fitting destroys the alignment of her beautiful design. So both canopies need to be filled and sanded into flowing conturs. That is really challenging on clear parts. The rear canopy needs now some sheet material to be added at both lower frame sections.
That's the current status .

A little encouragement can go a long way. A positive environment and outlook goes a long way to making life more enjoyable. And yes, to paraphrase your old employer, you can look at obstacles as a problem or a challenge.

I look forward to seeing how you master tha challenge of the canopy. I so much would like to add a 1/48 Viggen to my collection. I did build the Hasegawa 1/72 kit ages ago. That splinter camo worn in their mid life was awesome. Not so flashy as the NMF of their early years, or muted as the overall Gray of their late years.

Your work to date (and the photo is older in progress) on the Anigrand 1/72 Hughes XF-11 is exquisite. You combinemodern methods of prototyping, design as well as some sincerely fantastic scratchbuilding skills all in one! FABULOUS!



Also, FABULOUS work on the canopies! Excellent fitting. Greatly improved!
