Marius, looks great! What are you using to fill the gaps? I am not sure what it is! Thanks.

In that case I used Revell Plasto filler, Mr. Surfacer by Gunze and Revell Aqua Paint applied with brush. The Auqas are usually very thick so you can use it as filler.

The canopies are now ready and sealed with Future.
My Viggen is acompanied by three other kits ready for painting. Viggen's NMF will be a challenge due to its dull look.

I sincerely appreciate these images as I have never used Future before. I have the somewhat old fashioned notion that any clear coat runs the risk of yellowing over time. I have not been so willing to let go of this notion yet, but when I see your effort I am tempted! And appreciative! But part of me thinks Future is not to be trusted. My father instilled this prejudice when he refused to put certain chemical combinations in my mother’s kitchen (He was a Materials Testing specialist for a Swiss firm based in the U.S.). He also suggested to me more than once that hard floor wax was more effective than exotic Carnubas! He also tested every cup for lead as well...

I have been using Future Floor Finish since 2003 in every model. Here in Germany it is a kind of magical potion. Never made any bad experience with that. You can trust me.

Superb work on those canopies Marius! They came out better than I expected. I also use Future to dip all my canopies in and have never had any issues with it yellowing. Some other clearcoats however.....

I was curious about how you were going to deal with the canopies. Polished and then Futured? Well that sure cleaned up that problem.

Bruce, I have been using Future for many many years now, (20 or so, rough guess) and like Mark said, no yellowing issues over the years. At least not yet. Now Testors rattle can clear coats on the other hand, I avoid that stuff like the plague.

Hey DM — just to clarify a very important point — it’s Bolleken’s amazing work here! Bolleken is the model builder. I just ask a lot of questions and make comments here with the other members like Duke and Stikpusher whose advice has been very helpful to me.
